The International Lauberhorn Races from A-Z

A

On the nights from Fri to Sat and Sat to Sun, additional train services run from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen. Connections to Interlaken-Ost are guaranteed. The last connection from Wengen is at 02:10.

Children and young people under the age of 16 are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol. Young people under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from consuming spirits and drinks with spirits (mixed drinks). If the age is not clearly above the legal limits, an ID must be shown to the staff.

Early arrival by public transport is recommended. The train transfer from Interlaken-Ost is included in all tickets. Please note the information on arrival. Learn more

There are ATMs in the village of Wengen. In the Girmschbiel public viewing area and along the race course there are no ATM facilities. However, it is possible to pay cashless at the race.

The award ceremony will take place on Friday and Saturday at 19h00 in the World Cup village. On Sunday, the award ceremony will take place after the 2nd run of the slalom in the Innerwengen finish arena. To the program

Visitors have the option of cashless payments with TWINT and credit card.

There is a wide variety of food on offer so that nobody has to go home hungry. From traditional Chäsbrätel to bratwurst and Cervelat - there is something for everyone. On race days, visitors can enjoy refreshments along the race course, on the Wengernalp (Girmschbiel) and at the finish line from 09:30.

In the evening, a wide range of food and drink is available in the World Cup village and in Wengen as a whole.

Drones are prohibited on all event sites, in the World Cup village and along the race course.

A deposit is charged for the purchase of beverages in cups, cans and bottles. The deposit will be refunded at all sales stands.

The Lauberhorn races take place in the ski area and are therefore weather-dependent. Winter clothing and good footwear are recommended.

In Wilderswil, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald there are a number of paid parking spaces available. Visitors should follow the parking guidance system, which provides information about availability.

Tickets can be presented at the entrance control either as print@home or mobile tickets. A printout is therefore not absolutely necessary! Tickets are checked electronically and must be protected against unauthorized access. In the case of duplicates, only the first admission will be granted.

Travel by public transport is recommended. The journey from Interlaken Ost is included in every ticket.

Please take note of the travel information for the respective event location on your ticket.

The resale or trading of tickets at non-official prices is strictly prohibited. Tickets purchased in this way lose their validity. In case of suspicion of violation, the right is reserved to block the corresponding tickets without any refund.

The Innerwengen grandstand is standing room only. We cannot offer any seats. It is forbidden to bring camping chairs or similar.

In combination with the purchase of a ticket, a combination ticket (event ticket incl. ski pass) can be purchased at special conditions. Upon presentation of the ticket, the ski pass can be redeemed for the respective race day from 01.12.2023 at one of the following Jungfrau Railways sales points : 

  • Interlaken Ost

  • Wilderswil

  • Lauterbrunnen

  • Wengen

  • Grindelwald

  • Grindelwald Grund

  • Grindelwald Terminal. 


Ski passes purchased in combination with a VIP product can be exchanged at the Jungfrau Railways information desk at the P&R parking lot in Wilderswil on race day.

The Jungfrau Ski Region tariff regulations apply to ski passes. Exchange, extension, refund or accumulation with other offers excluded.

A ski pass is not mandatory for attending the races.

Would you like to follow the races at the Wengernalp/Girmschbiel location? Please note the travel instructions on your ticket so that you can get to your location as quickly as possible.

Travel via: Grindelwald Terminal - Eigergletscher - Kleine Scheidegg - Wengernalp.

Would you like to watch the races in the finish arena in Innerwengen? Please note the travel instructions on your ticket so that you can get to your location as quickly as possible.

Travel via: Grindelwald Terminal - Männlichen - Wengen or Lauterburnnen - Wengen. A footpath (approx. 20 minutes) leads from Wengen to the finish.

Snow sports equipment and a ski pass are mandatory for the journey to the starting area. Visitors without snow sports equipment will not be transported on the Lauberhorn chairlift.

You are strongly advised not to purchase tickets on third-party platforms. The International Lauberhorn Races Association wishes to prevent any damage to its reputation and also declines all responsibility and liability in the event of irregularities in the purchase of such tickets.

Timetables for regular train services to Interlaken Ost can be found on the SBB website. The Jungfrau Railways timetables will be posted here in due course.

The journey from Interlaken Ost is always included in the admission ticket for the International Lauberhorn Races.

We offer VIP guests a free shuttle bus service on race days. The shuttle runs either from the P&R parking lot at Interlaken Airport to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald Terminal.

You do not need a ticket to visit the World Cup village. Please note that the number of visitors to the village is limited. If you would like to secure a place, we recommend our Home of Legends Lounge. Learn more

Where there are a lot of people, a lot of waste is produced. There are marked waste islands all over the site and along the race route. Please use these and do not throw your garbage on the ground. This is a great help for our clean-up team.

We have a few wheelchair spaces in the finish area on the grandstand. For further information and availability please contact the office. Each person in a wheelchair has the right to bring two accompanying persons.
