Support Association

Purpose

The purpose of the Support Association is to ensure the long-term future of snow sports competitions and other events of international significance, in particular the staging of the International Lauberhorn Races Wengen, by providing comprehensive political, economic and social support in the region.

The Support Association provides a platform for the International Lauberhorn Races Association (Organising Committee) to obtain input, innovation, advice and political and economic support, with the long-term aim of continuing to develop snow sports competitions at the highest international level in the region. To this end, the Chair of the Support Association is given a seat on the Organising Committee of the International Lauberhorn Races.

Membership

Public bodies, legal entities and natural persons who have an interest in fulfilling the purpose of the Support Association can be accepted as ordinary members. The association has the following member groups:

Political municipalities
- of the Oberland East region from 2,000 inhabitants and the municipality of Fieschertal
- of the Oberland East region up to 1,999 inhabitants
Transport companies
Tourism organisations
Accommodation providers
Trade and commercial organisations
Individual members
Cooperatives
Passive members (other political municipalities, civic communities)
