Additional downhill race Thursday

Marco Odermatt (SUI) wins the additional downhill at the Lauberhorn races with a lead of over half a second. It is his first World Cup victory in the downhill. From the Super-G start to the finish, the Swiss raced clear of his rivals. Frenchman Cyprien Sarrazin confirmed his good form from the training sessions and skied solidly to second place, while Aleksander Aamodt Kilde had to settle for third place, 81 hundredths behind.

Franjo von Allmen from the Bernese Oberland showed in his first Lauberhorn downhill in the World Cup that he can keep up with the best. He finished in a very good 14th place, just one hundredth of a second behind two-time Lauberhorn winner Vincent Kriechmayr (AUT).
