Additional downhill - four World Cup races in Wengen

The men's downhill race cancelled in Beaver Creek (USA) in November will be held in Wengen in January 2024: The International Lauberhorn Races Wengen, together with the International Ski Federation FIS and Swiss-Ski, have decided to hold an additional downhill race on the Lauberhorn on 11 January 2024. This complements the races already planned: The super-G on Friday, the Lauberhorn downhill on Saturday and the slalom on Sunday.

  • Tuesday, 9.1.2024, and Wednesday, 10.1.2024, Downhill training sessions
  • Thursday, 11.1.2024, Lauberhorn additional downhill (cancelled downhill Beaver Creek, USA)
  • Friday, 12 January 2024, Super-G
  • Saturday, 13.1.2024, Lauberhorn Downhill
  • Sunday, 14.1.2024, slalom

"We are delighted to give the speed skiers in Wengen the opportunity to make up for a race that was cancelled at the start of the season. It is all the better that we can do this at the Lauberhorn on one of the most traditional and prestigious courses and thus in front of our Swiss fans," says Diego Züger, CEO Commercial of Swiss-Ski.

As soon as the details for the ticket offers have been finalised, the corresponding tickets will be available in the Lauberhorn Races web shop. As a special promotion, all compulsory school classes in the canton of Bern will receive free admission to the finish grandstand and, in collaboration with Jungfrau Railways, a free winter sports pass for the Jungfrau Ski Region.
