Additional downhill run – Wengen set to host four World Cup races
The men’s downhill run that was cancelled in Beaver Creek, USA, in November will be held in Wengen in January 2024. International Lauberhorn Races Wengen, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and Swiss-Ski have decided to hold an additional downhill run on the Lauberhorn on 11 January 2024. This will complement the races already planned: the super-G on Friday, the Lauberhorn downhill on Saturday and the slalom on Sunday.

“We are delighted to give the athletes another opportunity to compete in an event that was cancelled at the start of the season in Wengen. What’s more, we can do so on the Lauberhorn, one of the most historic and prestigious courses, in front of all our Swiss fans,” said Diego Züger, CEO Commercial at Swiss-Ski.
Tickets for the extra downhill run will be available in the Lauberhorn races online shop as soon as all the details regarding ticketing have been ironed out. As a special offer, all compulsory school classes in the canton of Bern will receive free admission to the grandstand in the finish area and, in partnership with Jungfrau Railways, a free winter sports pass for the Jungfrau Ski Region.
There will only be a limited number of tickets available. Click here to access the ticket shop
